What is Essentrics™
Essentric™ is a dynamic, full-body workout suitable for all fitness levels that simultaneously combines stretching and strengthening while engaging all 650 muscles.
The workout program combines the strength of ballet, the flowing movements of Tai Chi and the healing properties of physiotherapy exercises. It is a form of exercise that tones, slenderizes, and develops long, lean, flexible muscles. It rebalances and realigns the body and reduces tension, stress and pain by decompressing the muscles around the joints.
This class will increase flexibility and mobility for a healthy, toned and pain-free body.
Essentrics™ - brief history
Essentrics™ was created by Miranda Esmonde White, a former ballet dancer with the National Ballet of Canada. After her dance career ended, she opened a fitness studio where she taught aerobics for many years. She realized that this form of exercise created big bulky muscles which many people were not happy with, and would eventually abandon. It also created tight muscles that were prone to injury. This led her to create an alternative exercise program called Essentrics™.
